About David deSilva

I am a professor of New Testament and Greek at Ashland Theological Seminary (Ashland, Ohio), organist and music director/director of traditional worship at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church (Port Charlotte, Florida), and an ordained elder in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.  I am married to Donna Jean deSilva, my wife of twenty-seven years, with whom I share three sons.  I am an avid student of the Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical Books, some of the major Pseudepigrapha, the Letter to the Hebrews, the General Epistles, and Revelation.  I have ventured most recently into Pauline studies, having written a few shorter books on Paul and Galatians leading up to my commentary on Galatians for the NICNT, expected in later 2018.  You can learn more about Ashland Theological Seminary here: seminary.ashland.edu.

  1. Dear brother, thanks for your kind note about the TPW translation! The issue involved two things I despise, nay, three! People who mess with the Bible; people who take advantage of God’s people with false teaching; people who make money of it it.

    Blessings! Gary

  2. Forgive me if you’ve already seen this; I suspect my first message flew into cyberspace

I’ve just received Letter to the Ephesians, Greek text study journal and am thrilled with the layout! Is there anything comparable for Acts of the Apostles, or will I resort to making my own?

    Many thanks for suggestions!
