I am a professor of New Testament and Greek at Ashland Theological Seminary (Ashland, Ohio), organist and music director/director of traditional worship at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church (Port Charlotte, Florida), and an ordained elder in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. I am married to Donna Jean deSilva, my wife of twenty-seven years, with whom I share three sons. I am an avid student of the Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical Books, some of the major Pseudepigrapha, the Letter to the Hebrews, the General Epistles, and Revelation. I have ventured most recently into Pauline studies, having written a few shorter books on Paul and Galatians leading up to my commentary on Galatians for the NICNT, expected in later 2018.
